Svitac is always looking for dedicated, self-motivated people who would like to experience working within our organisation as a volunteer. We are currently mainly accepting volunteers through the EVS programme, for more information on this please see HERE.
In general we host 2 long-term (12 Month) Volunteers a year, and 3 – 4 Short Term (3 Month) Volunteers every summer to help with Summer Festivals and events.

If you would like to work for Svitac, but your idea doesn’t fit in with any of the job descriptions then send us a short proposal of what you want to do. You will need to be:
- Interested in the educational and creative developments of young people from all backgrounds and ethnic groups.
- Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about your discipline(s).
- Experienced in teaching or youth work.
- Able to communicate well and have excellent listening skills.Reliable and responsible with work and the project.
- Able to work in a small team
- Flexible and robust in an often unpredictable environment.
- Informed about, and sensitive to, the history, politics and current situation of the region.
- Able to work individually and with initiative.
- Aware of others’ private and professional needs.
- Respectful of the local community and local staff.Able to ‘muck-in’ with many things and help others when needed.
- Willing to learn the language (for longer term projects).
- Background checked by the police in your country to work with vulnerable people– you will need to submit proof of a UK Criminal Record Background check or equivalent
